Wire mesh plating is one of Guoshuo's specialties. We chrome and nickel plate welded and woven wire products, including pull-out kitchen baskets, fryer baskets, racks, shelving, grills, and fan guards, improving corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and appearance.

Wire work is harder to plate than flat parts. The geometry is complex, wire diameters are small, and surface area is high, so racking design and current distribution decide whether you get a clean, even deposit or burnt edges and bare spots. We use purpose-built racking and have years of experience with this part family. Our wire products can be plated to FDA and German LFGB food-contact standards and meet a 72-hour salt spray requirement.

  5. Inspection (appearance, salt spray) and shipment

Quality & Certification

Salt spray testing (up to 72 hours) and coating-thickness measurement can be arranged on request. We can plate to US FDA and German LFGB food-contact standards and meet RoHS hazardous-substance requirements. Exact process parameters, such as thickness range and salt spray duration, are confirmed at the quotation and sampling stage.

How do you prevent peeling and bare spots?

It comes down to thorough pretreatment and to matching the racking and current density to the part. Residual oil or oxide in a weld joint is the usual cause of peeling, and poor current distribution is the usual cause of bare spots. Both are process problems we have solved many times on this part family.
